Run Claude Code and Codex on your computer. Drive them from your phone.
Start tasks from the subway, watch progress on your lock screen, approve risky commands with one tap — and when you need hands on the machine, Remote Desktop puts its screen on your phone. Runs on your own computer, end-to-end encrypted. Mac, Linux and Windows.
Tool calls and permission requests land on your phone for a one-tap allow or deny — away from the desk, nothing gets past you.
One-tap answer
Every tool call is pushed to your phone; answer from the lock screen without opening the app.
Deletes intercepted
Delete-class commands are stopped separately for an extra confirmation.
Per-project scope
Permission memory is scoped per project — allowing one project never unlocks the rest.

24° · The link
The relay only ever sees ciphertext.
Everything between phone and computer is end-to-end encrypted; the keys live on your two devices only. Whoever runs the relay just moves ciphertext it can’t read — not one word of your session. Away from home it connects automatically: no public IP, no port forwarding.

Recommended — more private, the rendezvous is yours end to end. Works with or without a domain; recipe below in Cast off.

Official relay
free
Zero setup — run for you and free too, so newcomers just connect. Want more privacy? Self-host one (see Cast off).
direct at home, relay when you leave — it switches under you, no toggles.
Security
Encrypted at both ends: X25519 for key exchange, AES-256-GCM for the payload.
The relay only forwards ciphertext — it cannot see your chats, your code or your screen.
Don’t want to trust ours? Stand up your own relay in three commands.

Remote desktop
The computer’s screen, live on your phone: trackpad gestures as the mouse, a soft keyboard with a shortcut bar, system audio and clipboard along for the ride. Hardware codecs, direct P2P first, the same encrypted link as chat. Controls macOS and Windows; a Pro feature.

One window per project — several projects, several assistants, all working at once.

The one core thing
7
Your phone drives the AI on your computer
It lives on your machine — your files, your env, your logins. The phone is just the remote.
Reachable away from home
Direct on the same Wi-Fi; an encrypted relay punches through when you leave. No router config.
Switch AI engines anytime
Claude Code and OpenAI Codex both drive; one engine per window, quotas counted separately.
Let it finish on its own
8
Supervisor mode
Drafts a checklist, works and tests item by item — only green ticks count. Stuck? It changes tactics.
⚡ULTRA: a fleet at once
One big task split across parallel agents, merged at the end. Strongest — and hungriest.
Windows in parallel
One window per project; several tasks run at once without stepping on each other.
Safe — and you have the last word
5
Dangerous moves ask first
Commands wait on your phone; edit them before approving, answer from the lock screen.
Permissions per project, per tool class
Read, edit, Bash, network, subtasks, skills, MCP — each class set to allow / ask / deny. Side project automatic, company repo asks.
Deletes intercepted separately
Even under “allow all”, rm still pops one more confirmation.
⚓ · Cast off
One command and you’re in.
Paste one line on the computer, scan with the phone — that’s genuinely it.
Install (pick one: curl or npm on macOS / Linux, PowerShell on Windows)
curl -fsSL relay.sextant.top/install | sudo sh
Installs as a persistent service — running it again upgrades; the pairing QR and an 8-digit code print in the terminal, scan or type it and you’re connected. No Claude Code or Codex yet? One tap in the app installs it, and on Windows even Node.js and Git are set up for you.
Self-hosted relayrecommended · more private
To connect away from home you need a relay as the meeting point. The official one is free, but self-hosting is better — content is already end-to-end encrypted and the relay only moves ciphertext, so hosting it just keeps the meeting point in your hands. Three steps, no domain required:
① Get the relay — one command, installs and runs
npm i -g sextant-relay && sextant-relay
Run it on a server with a public IP; npm fetches the right binary for the platform and starts it, listening on 7290 by default — open that port in the firewall. No Node? go build ./relay works too.
② Point the computer at your relay (pick one)
No domain — simplest
sxt --relay-url ws://YOUR_VPS_IP:7290
Just use ws:// + the server IP. A plain port is fine — the content is already end-to-end encrypted; the relay only ever sees ciphertext.
With a domain — auto HTTPS
Two lines of Caddy, auto-certificate (use your domain):
your-relay.com {
reverse_proxy localhost:7290
}
sxt --relay-url wss://your-relay.com
Want it to auto-start on boot? Attach a systemd service to the relay (example in the repo).
Content is end-to-end encrypted either way — even the official relay sees only ciphertext. Self-hosting just puts the meeting point in your hands too.
